I'm Todd Griffin, an individual developer in the United States. These terms cover all my projects (games, tools and sites) and your account at accounts.toddgriffin.me. By using them, you agree to these terms. I've tried to keep them short and in plain English.
These are my personal projects. I build and run them on my own time, with my own equipment and my own money. They aren't affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any employer of mine, past or present.
How I handle your data is covered in my Privacy Policy.
Free hobby projects
My projects are things I build for fun. Today they're all free, with no ads. If I ever add ads or paid features, I'll update these terms before they launch. My projects are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. I can't promise they'll always be available, bug free or kept around forever. I may change, pause or shut down any project at any time, though I'll try to give a heads up when I can.
Your account
- One account works across all my projects.
- You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it.
- Pick a username that isn't offensive and doesn't pretend to be someone else. You can change it anytime. I may change or remove a username that breaks these terms.
- Use an email address you actually own, so you can get account emails.
- Keep your password and devices safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
Play fair
When you use my projects, please don't:
- Cheat, exploit bugs or use bots to get an unfair advantage.
- Abuse, harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Spam.
- Do anything illegal.
- Attack my services, overload them, or try to get into accounts or systems that aren't yours.
If you find a bug or a security problem, please email me instead of using it. I'd really appreciate it.
If you break the rules
If you break these terms, I may suspend or delete your account, with or without warning. When I do, I'll usually email you to let you know.
Leaving
You can delete your account yourself, anytime, in your account settings at accounts.toddgriffin.me. Deletion is permanent. See Deleting your account for what gets deleted.
Your content
If a project lets you create or upload something, like a name, a level or a message, it stays yours. You give me permission to store it and show it within that project so the project can work. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Please only share things you have the right to share.
My stuff
The projects themselves, including their code, art and names, belong to me, except where I've released something under an open source license.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, that come from using or not being able to use my projects. If I'm found liable anyway, my total liability to you is limited to the greater of 50 US dollars or what you paid me in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
Changes
If I change these terms, I'll post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If you keep using my projects after that, you're agreeing to the new terms.
